Nestled on the scenic banks of Lake Hume in Northeast Victoria, Talgarno Tennis Club is a valued community asset. With support from the Talgarno Recreation Reserve Committee and Towong Shire Council, the club embarked on a much-needed court upgrade to revitalise the facility for local players, visiting clubs, and the broader community — encouraging competition, social connection, and recreational play.

iDwala was engaged to deliver the design for the redevelopment of four existing tennis courts, with a focus on player safety, surface quality, and long-term durability. The scope included the construction of a new asphalt pavement with an acrylic surface finish, as well as the installation of lighting to extend play into the evenings — all designed to meet Tennis Victoria compliance standards.

Working within the constraints of the existing fence line, iDwala ensured the new design aligned with performance requirements while responding to key site conditions. A major design consideration involved protecting three mature native trees, requiring precise elevation planning to avoid root zone disturbance and preserve environmental values.
